Account Executive (London)

Scale our sales function from the ground up

London, UK

Hey! We're team Granola πŸ‘‹ If you haven't already, you should check out what we're building, and why you should work here.

We're looking for an Account Executive to join our growing sales team, as we continue to establish our sales function from the ground up.

About the role

Joining as our 4th Account Executive, this is your opportunity to help us define sales at Granola, establishing our go-to-market approach and making an immediate contribution to our rapidly increasing revenue number. As an integral and early member of our sales team, you'll be pivotal in scaling Granola to our next 100x growth milestone.

At Granola, we're entirely PLG and currently 100% inbound. As Account Executive, you'll own the critical path from discovery to closed-won deals with our largest prospective customers. You'll be at the forefront of our growth, interacting directly with customers to understand their needs, buying process and stakeholders, and ultimately winning enterprise plan deals. You'll also be building scalable sales processes and, as we continue to grow, begin warm outreach to free customers, converting them onto a paid plan.

In this role, you will:

  • Engage with our highest potential inbound prospects (we're currently 100% inbound)
  • Own the entire sales cycle from discovery to closed deal
  • Navigate security reviews, procurement processes, legal reviews, and vendor management systems
  • Help build and optimise our sales playbook and process as we learn what works
  • Conduct warm outreach to convert our highest-usage free customers to paid accounts
  • Work closely with our engineering team to ensure Granola continues to meet our customers' needs
  • Work to and exceed revenue targets as we introduce these in the near future.

Your background looks something like:

  • Experience selling SaaS products in product-led growth companies (minimum 5+ years)
  • Experience successfully managing complex sales cycles, including engaging with security, legal and procurement teams
  • A track record of consistently achieving / exceeding revenue targets.
  • Highly autonomous and able to prioritise well
  • Enthusiasm for building something new rather than following an established playbook
  • Preference for working collaboratively with colleagues, rather than operating alone
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that build trust quickly
  • Comfort with high velocity and long cycle sales processes
  • Exposure to formal sales training / methodologies

As a person, you…

  • are a builder who gets excited about creating something from scratch, rather than working to established playbooks & processes
  • are excited by the energy of working in-person from our office in London (we're five days per week, in person, and we love it)
  • thrive in a startup environment where you can use your creativity and initiative to define how you approach your role and outcomes
  • have a genuine curiosity about how customers use our product and what would make them pay (and pay more!)
  • take ownership of challenges without waiting for perfect information or direction
  • value working with people who are kind, ambitious and pragmatic

About the Opportunity

Our compensation philosophy is to hire the best people in the market and pay them accordingly with salary, variable, and equity.

Location

We are excited to work in-person from our office in London (most of the time). We have a new, bright and spacious office at Old Street. We are happy to offer relocation assistance to candidates who'll be moving to London to join us.

Lastly, we think amazing talent comes from all kinds of life journeys and experiences. If what is written above speaks to you, whether you look like a fit on paper or not, please reach out.
